Gravity Conveyors

Gravity Wheel Conveyor Wheel Conveyor First choice for economy

Light and portable gravity wheel conveyors are the first choice for materials with a reasonably firm bottom surface and moderate weight. Long operating lengths are possible because gravity wheel conveyor decline pitch can be less than that of gravity roller conveyors. Switches and transfers are easier to incorporate, too. Gravity wheel conveyor can move cartons, crates, cases, lumber, sheet metal, and totes of various lengths and widths. Excellent tracking characteristics prevent side-sliding and reduce the need for guard rails.

Power Conveyors

Gravity Roller Conveyor Lineshaft Live
Roller Conveyor
Quiet, flexible transportation and accumulation conveyor

Independently driven carrier rollers make lineshaft conveyor more versatile and oftentimes less expensive than conventional belt- or chain-driven live roller models. One drive can power standard equipment including curves, junctions, diverters, right-angle transfers, and powered gates. In addition, the sound dampening effect of the drive belts makes these conveyors unusually quiet, even at high speed.

Gravity Roller Conveyor Belt-Driven Live
Roller Conveyor
Adjustable drive pressure increases efficiency

For side loading, smooth merges and low pressure accumulation, live roller conveyor is tough to beat. It handles cartons, totes, drums, cans and bagged or bundled items.

Belt-driven carrier rollers provide a smooth, low friction conveying surface. Drive pressure can be adjusted and varied throughout the system. At points where material accumulates, drive pressure can be decreased so rollers barely turn under accumulated goods. At merge points and diverts, pressure can be increased to provide the full driving force.

Gravity Roller Conveyor Belt-On-Roller
Conveyor
Nearly unlimited capabilities

Belt-on-roller conveyor has a flat carrying surface that safely moves loose and irregularly-shaped items. The belt, which can be smooth or ribbed, is supported by rollers with low-friction bearings. This allows handling of relatively heavy loads over long distances. And power requirements are surprisingly low.

Gravity Roller Conveyor Slider Bed Belt Conveyor A basic, low-cost transportation conveyor

For widely varying load size and shapes, the slider bed belt conveyor is an economical choice. The belt moves across a steel supporting bed, offering an extremely stable surface. In addition to mixed loads, slider beds can handle hard-to-convey items such as crates, bags, bundles, rolls, and unpackaged goods. And with ribbed belt materials, the conveyors can be used in incline and decline applications.

Gravity Roller Conveyor Empty Carton
Conveyor
Special application slider bed conveyor

A special application slider bed conveyor handles removal of empty cartons and boxes in split-case picking operations, repacking areas or anywhere cartons accumulate. The empty carton conveyor has sloped side guard rails and can be installed on floor supports or suspended from the ceiling above work areas.

Gravity Roller Conveyor Walk Pick
Conveyor
An economical order selection takeaway conveyor

In warehouse or distribution center operations, transportation conveyors move cartons or totes out of order selection areas. Walk pick conveyors are designed for fast, efficient one-way horizontal movement. Heavy-duty drive components provide a cost-effective method for moving items at a high rate of speed over long distances.

Move your product in almost any direction

Model 996 round belt-driven curves and junctions give you the option of using individual power units or slave drives from a common motor. A slave drive cuts your initial investment and operating costs. Wiring and installation are simplified too. Model 996 round belt curves and junctions can be slave driven from virtually all other Rapistan powered transportation and accumulation conveyors.

Model 985 curves are economical V-belt driven 90° turns with fixed-speed motors.

Gravity Roller Conveyor Belt Turn
Conveyor
Maintain product orientation and spacing through turns

Power belt turns are used in conveyor systems where product spacing and orientation must be maintained. Products enter and exit the belt turn while maintaining their original position. The continuous belt surface provides a smooth transfer of the product through the entire radius of the turn.

Another advantage of the flat conveying surface of belt turns is flexibility in types of material handled. The conveying surface is ideal for odd-shaped, fragile, and other problem materials.

Model 977 is designed to accommodate higher speeds while operating at low noise levels.

Model 975, 977

Gravity Roller Conveyor Spiral Belt Turn
Conveyor
Space-saving conveyor for elevation changes

By “spiraling” material up or down, the spiral belt turn saves floor space, cuts travel time, and reduces the angle of incline. The effective angle of incline at the center of a spiral belt turn is 12° to 19°.

The spiral belt turn is an adaptation of the powered belt turn. It handles a wide range of materials, including odd-shaped and irregular-bottom cartons. Spiral belt turns are often used in existing buildings to transfer materials between floors. Other applications include multi-level storage rack areas and movement of materials between floor and overhead conveyor systems.
